In these uncertain financial times, I’d completely understand if you wanted to show support for my work, but don’t quite have the disposable income to throw money at strangers on the internet. Same here. The good news is there’s a way to tip me with a single click, without actually tipping me. I’m referring of course to affiliate links. If you’re not familiar, affiliate links for places like Amazon and Scottevests install a temporary “cookie” in your browser when you click on them. Depending on the site, these cookies live in your browser for 24 hours, a few days, or even a few weeks, before quietly deleting themselves.
But! If you buy something on the site I’ve linked to, say Scottevests, while the cookie is still active, I get a teensy bit of money – or a lot of money if you buy something like an insanely expensive watch on Amazon. (Please use my affiliate link if you plan to buy an insanely expensive watch.)
Even if you use an Amazon link to one of the books below, but don’t buy it for some unfathomable reason, then buy a blender two days later, I still get tipped!
Again, using the links below won’t cost you anything and it will help me out a little – and sometimes a lot. Thank you!

Crystal Light Energy is my favorite caffeine solution for travel. It weighs nothing, all you need is some (potable) water and a water bottle and, wow, it packs a punch. I found this stuff way back in my guidebook writing days, when I grew tired of hunting around for overpriced coffee in airports and the middle of nowhere. Admittedly, a few flavors are extremely sweet. I prefer the grape, but it also comes in strawberry, peach/mango and citrus. It changed my life. Maybe it’ll change your life, too.

You’ve heard of Scottevests, right? No? Well, if you like pockets, then buckle up, because Scottevests (and pants, and shirts, and skirts, and underwear) are basically pockets sewn into the shape of clothes. After hitting the links below, hover over the product picture to see an overlay of all the pockets! Here’s a sampling:
