Some of you may not know that I have been juggling since I was 12 years old. Still more of you may not know that next summer I will be competing in the International Jugglers’ Association world team championships at the tender age of 44 (roughly twice the age of most of the other competitors).

I’ll be competing with my long-time juggling partner Steve Birmingham and we’ll be showing off the best of our highly ungraceful, sometimes brutal “garbage tricks,” which, despite the name, are incredibly difficult and unpredictable, often leaving so little margin for error that only certifiable lunatics would consider performing them in competition.

That’s about all you need to know.

We made this video a few weeks ago which leans heavily on slow motion effects, partly so people could savor all the nuances of these busy garbage tricks, but also to start scaring the hell out of our potential competition.
