Believe me, I know! In retrospect, we (that were there to work), got far too hung up on satisfying our assignment guidelines and stopped having fun about half way through. The combination of being ‘handled’ with identical outings just to keep us busy, unnecessary time wasting and being left to freeze that day on the volcano turned us into a bunch of overly intense grouches. And we were a young, reasonably easygoing group! I can see now why journalists get a bad name. If they had pulled that same stunt on spoiled, self-important, veteran journalists there would have been a mutiny.
