Lucas – Jessica Alba! Brilliant. I knew I could count on you for a dead-on babe nominaiton. As for what I’m hauling around… Dude, I haul around everything I own! How much does everything you own weigh, jackhole? Huh? Clothes (winter, summer), shoes, bathroom stuff, a few books, laptop, tech… and don’t forget the weight of the suitcase itself! Does it weigh less than 15 kg? Then shut up.

Maureen – You’re absolutely right. I don’t get the laudry arrangement here in Italy. Electricity is so expensive, yet their tiny little machines take two hours to do a wash! And they’re the same brands as in the US, where a load in a much larger machine takes 20 minutes! Someone’s getting some serious kick-back money somewhere over this. Oh, and I’m flying into Stansted. RyanAir doesn’t use Heathrow. Gate fees are too high.

Don’t jump to male-gender conclusions because I am female, but I just have to ask: why are you returning to a island “to do laundry” where crashing stones against fabric is sill considered a reasonable cleaning method? Yes, I am most familiar with Italian “grey” water wash and horrible laundry machines; would rather stomp my clothes clean in the shower. [Side Bar to living in Itay: I am still contemplating a social disertation on the 50+ Laundry Irons available in Italy & Subsequent Influence on Roles for Women.]

Anyway, sounds like some of your London based fans might be out of town during your upcoming visit, thus rendering their flats empty & real laundry facilities available for your upcoming visit.

Here’s an incentive: access to the nymphs you so desire may just be the smell of TIDE: on any public transport, a clean smelling guy does appeal to us females…well, probably everyone, but let’s not go there.

May London be fun. If inspired, your Thoughts & Words on Heathrow would be interesting; if you are flying into another UK port, don’t care. Just another boring piece for UK Residents you could sell to T&L or Conde Nast.

May I chime in on Ryanair? They have treated us just fine, luckily, for the price. (though one is tempted to moo softly from time to time.) I’d jump on in a minute if it meant I got to go to London.

While I am not in the running for Note Taking Nymph, though I am both female and nymphlike, but also being slightly older than you are (I assume the Nymph needs to derive from several generations further down the foodchain) and needing to DRIVE the Lamborgini, not just ride shotgun, I will be in Barcelona in mid-May and Venice later in the year (for a meeting, can you believe the luck?). So I’ll be awaiting many witty comments about Barcelona and Venice. And should you be in Barcelona in May and feel the need to meet up with three (did I mention that my Non-Note-Taking-Satyr and preteen Satyrette will be part of the entourage) actual tourist types (though of course we feel that we’re “travelers,” not “tourists”) who are big-time foodies, let me know.

RyanAir eats arse! I've flown with them once, to Venice actually, and everyone I know that has used them has some horror story. Best of luck to you and I hope it does go well. So lucky to spend a week in Venice. Although you missed the best time during Carnivale. Try the cuttlefish! I loved it. Be sure to tip us off on where the writing ends up. I'd love to read your 'professional' review of it as well as what we hopefully will get on here as well.

I ,unfortunately ,am not leaving for Hawaai or for any other destination as I was royally shafted in many ways. RYAN AIR has been AWESOME to anyone I know!!I have friends who have been even begged /corrupted by the bloody company(i can say company right?it’s not offensive?)
the one time i decide to fly with the fuckers for a very important interview in London we’re told breezily that all flights are cancelled ’cause of the fog(we’re talking rome here) Fog in rome is always an overstatement but outside it’s so sunny i would kill for a pair of flip flops that some swedes thoughfully are wearing. there are some nazi -hooligans that are are very clear headed;they want to trash the place . instead of joining them ,stupidly i rush to fiumicino airport where…. well never mind it’s a long story(but i was monumentally screwed) and it’s not my blog but i do think we should take a survey on Ryan Air!!!!

Well, the obvious candidate for Hot Babe would be Jessica Alba. I’d also give serious consideration to Shakira and Scarlett Johansson. I was going to say Shania Twain but did you know she’s 41?!? Wow.

Ryan Air has been awesome to me every time. It states very clearly on their website and on the confirmation that there’s a weight limit on your bags or else you’ll be charged out the butt, although I can’t imagine what you’re hauling around to break 15kg..

Have fun at the London LP workshop (hehe, maybe they’ll cover you’re/your this time :) ). I, unfortunately, am leaving wednesday for 23 days in hawaii.
