This picture was taken in Iaşi, where I lived for 16 months. I think you&#039;ll do well in just about ANY city outside Bucharest. Iaşi is great, though it would be better if there were any decent budget accommodation. Cluj is also great for a social scene as well as Timisoara. Braşov has to be done just because it is just so nice to look at (the city, not necessarily the residents). If you ever have a week or more in Romaina, if you want true less-touristy and special, you need to get up into the Maramures region. It&#039;s not easy to reach, which is why you&#039;ll need a full week to get anything out of it.</description>
